Privacy policy
Data controller. Jack Killsone, Wrocław, email: jack@jack-killsone.com. For any matter concerning personal data, write to this address.
Purpose and legal basis. I process data from the enquiry form and from emails in order to reply, arrange a call and prepare a proposal (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract). I process information about where the visit came from (page address, referring page, UTM parameters) to know where enquiries come from (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: legitimate interest). Servers record technical logs, including the IP address, to keep the site secure and working (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
What data. From the form: first name, email, optionally phone and company website address, selected services, type of business, description of the situation, goal, timing and rough budget. Providing your name and email is voluntary, but without them I cannot reply.
Recipients and processors. (1) Railway Corporation (USA): website hosting. (2) Cloudflare, Inc. (USA): DNS and domain protection, form handling (Cloudflare Workers) and sending the email notification (Cloudflare Email Service). (3) Google (Google Workspace): the mailbox that receives enquiries and correspondence. The providers process data on my behalf under data processing agreements: the Cloudflare Customer Data Processing Addendum, the Railway Data Processing Agreement and the Google Cloud Data Processing Addendum.
Transfers outside the EEA. Railway, Cloudflare and Google may process data in the USA. The transfer is based on the European Commission's decision on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it, and otherwise on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). You can obtain a copy of the safeguards by writing to jack@jack-killsone.com.
How long. I keep enquiries and correspondence for up to 12 months from the last contact and, if we start working together, for the duration of the cooperation and the period required by law (e.g. tax law). The form does not store data in any database: the submission is only sent as an email. Providers' technical logs are kept for the period set out in their policies, usually a few days.
Your rights. You have the right to access your data, to have it rectified or erased, to restrict its processing, to data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can also lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office in Poland (UODO, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa). I do not make decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling. The priority label on a submission in my mailbox only determines the order of replies.
Cookies and browser storage. The site does not use cookies or advertising pixels. I use Cloudflare Web Analytics for visit statistics. According to Cloudflare it does not use cookies or localStorage and does not “fingerprint” visitors. It shows me aggregated figures such as the number of visits, the pages visited, country, browser and page performance. The legal basis is legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: knowing whether and how the site is visited); you have the right to object. Apart from the statistics script, which loads from Cloudflare's servers, fonts and libraries (GSAP, Lenis) are hosted together with the site, so your browser does not connect to any other third-party servers. The form saves a draft of your answers in your browser's storage (localStorage) so that nothing is lost on refresh, and the site saves the theme you choose (light or dark) if you change it. The data stays on your device, and the draft is deleted once the form is sent (Art. 399(3)(2) of the Polish Electronic Communications Law: storage necessary to provide a service you request). This is a translation; in case of any discrepancy the Polish version prevails.
